It’s been a busy week in DC tech — and we’ve been putting our own advice into action here at Levy.

Last week’s Insider Insights Report was about making the most of DC Startup & Tech Week. This week, we did exactly that — by taking advantage of being in DC to bring a Congressman, former administration officials, gov affairs staffers, startup founders, and former federal workers together on one stage.

We opened with two of the sharpest voices in the country on AI and the future of work — Rep. Don Beyer and Chike Aguh — unpacking how government can adapt to the shifts AI is driving in the workforce.

Then, we showcased the Inaugural Cohort of the AI Upskilling Lab at DC Public Library, a 12-week pilot we co-ran with Chelsea Kirkland at DC Public Library — a true example of a public-private partnership in action, moving fast to create real outcomes for real people.

Finally, we convened 3 DC-area founders who are leading the charge on their startup’s government relations for a conversation on how founders can turn being DC locals into their source of leverage.

Rather than leave the conversation at the library, we turned it into a lasting resource. We’re experimenting with our content strategy, and this is part of that — publishing interesting insights from the conversations we are having across our network.
